ALBANY, Calif. (Oct. 4, 2020) – California stallion Uptown Rythem was represented by his first winner on Sunday when Le Majestic won the fourth race at Golden Gate, a maiden special weight for 2-year-olds going five and one-half furlongs over the all weather.
Le Majestic broke sharply in his racing debut and engaged in a pace battle with an outside foe. That rival gave way midway around the turn and he kept on going, keeping the closers at bay and winning by two lengths. Final time was 1:04.30.
Bred in California by C-Punch Ranch, the chestnut colt was produced by the stakes winning Volksraad mare Pams Pompallier. He races for Irvin Racing Stable and is trained by Greg James.
Uptown Rythem, a winning son of Speightstown, stands privately at Harris Farms.
