Two Straight at Tampa Bay for Stanford Son

Arcadia, CA (February 7, 2025) – Stanford son Midnite Musket powered to his second straight victory and his third in his last four starts, capturing the nightcap at Tampa Bay Downs, a five furlong allowance over the firm turf course.

The 4-year-old gelding was well placed in third early. As the far turn approached horses inside and out put him in the middle. He didn’t back down from that fight or the race to finish. Fanned widest of all at the top of the stretch, he kept coming. He caught the leaders inside the final sixteenth and proved best by a length in 55.91.

Midnite Musket is a homebred racing for Carlson Family Trust, LLC. Produced by the Lion Heart mare, Rangey Lil, he is trained by Tom Clark.

Stanford also sired the winners of the 3rd race (Hermalinda’s Fancy) and the 5th race (Panuco) today at Santa Anita.
