Acclamation’s Ghostly Act Last-to-First at Santa Anita
Arcadia, CA (February 2, 2025) – Ghostly Act was the second Harris Farms’ homebred to grace the winner’s circle this weekend at Santa Anita, when the son of Acclamation came from the clouds to win the nightcap.
A field of ten lined up to make the dash down the hill for the winner’s share of the $63,500 purse. Ghostly Act showed no early speed as as the field neared the dirt crossover, he didn’t have a rival behind him. Asked to finish by Kyle Frey, he closed strongly and willingly, passing rival after rival, to get up in the final few yards to score by a half-length.
Ghostly Act has won or placed in twelve of his eighteen career starts and he has earned $205,180. Trained by Debbie Winick, was races in partnership for the farm and Darren Filkins. He is out of the Ghostzapper mare, Debbies Cute Ghost.
