Tenth Stakes Horse for Catholic Boy

Florence, KY (January 1, 2025) – Les Is Best became the tenth black-type earner from Catholic Boy’s first two crops with her second place finish in her stakes debut, the $110,000 Gowell Stakes going six furlongs over the all weather at Turfway Park.

Losing ground at the break and then getting stopped again around the turn, the newly turned 3-year-old filly circled the field and ran on well through the stretch to miss the win by three-quarters of a length.

Les Is Best is out of the Catienus mare, Unfold the Rose.
