Om Filly Now 2-for-3 With Santa Anita Allowance Victory
Arcadia, CA (January 31, 2025) – Can’t Sleep, our newly turned 4-year-old homebred daughter of Om, is now two-for-three lifetime as she cleared her first level allowance condition in style at Santa Anita.
Breaking on top, but not hustled, she found herself in tight quarters and jockey Juan Hernandez wisely eased her out of the early scrum. She settled nicely down the back stretch and made her move around the final turn. She kicked clear of the field impressively in the final furlong to win going away by nearly three lengths, finishing the grassy six and one-half furlongs in 1:15.90.
Trained by Carla Gaines, Can’t Sleep is out of the stakes-producing Curlin mare, Julie Napp.
