Harris-bred, Raised and Sold Ceiling Crusher Cal-bred Champion Three-Year-Old Female

Arcadia, CA (February 14, 2024) – Harris Farms’ bred, raised and sold Ceiling Crusher, was named the 2023 Champion California-bred Three-Year-Old Female.

The daughter of Mr. Big was purchased for $22,000 at the 2021 CTBA Sales Northern California Yearling Sale by Tari Brocklebank,
she campaigned for Wonderland Racing Stables, LLC, Todd Dady, Tim Kasparoff, Ty Leatherman. Trained by Doug O’Neill, she kicked off her 3-year-old season with an allowance win, followed by consecutive stakes victories in the Evening Jewel Stakes and the Melair Stakes at the Arcadia oval.

She suffered the only defeat of her career with a third-place finish in the Fleet Treat Stakes at Del Mar, but bounced right back with a win in the Grade 3, Torrey Pines Stakes over the lawn at Del Mar.

Her next start was her career defining moment. She took the field gate-to-wire and defeated subsequent Eclipse Award winning filly Pretty Mischievous in the $1,000,000 Cotillion Stakes (G1) at Parx.

Lifetime, she has won six of her seven starts and has earned $938,400. She was purchased for $750,000 by Katsumi Yoshida at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton November Sale as a racing/broodmare prospect.
