Acclamation Son Appreciated Wins Curlin S. at Dubai World Cup Carnival

Dubai, UAE (February 11, 2022) – Appreciated, the son of Acclamation, was last early, but first when it counted most to win the $100,000 Curlin Stakes going a mile and one-quarter over the fast main track at Meydan during the World Cup Carnival meeting.

Appreciated, under jockey Fernando Jara, settle as the back marker for the first half of the trip. Moved out widest of all down the backstretch, the 6-year-old gelding was asked to circle the field and he obliged with a solid move that carried him into battle with the leaders at the top of the long Meydan stretch. The took over 300 meters from the wire and battled every stride to the finish against a tenacious foe to win by a neck.
