Winners in Texas and Washington for Stanford

Grand Prairie, TX (June 14, 2025) – The first of two winners on the day for Stanford was the debutante Look N Mighty Fine, who came from off the pace to win the opener at Lone Star Park going five furlongs in maiden special weight company.

The 2-year-old filly was midpack in the gate and settled into a spot tracking the pacesetters. A quarter-mile from home, the pack tightened. Look N Mighty Fine had the best finish in her, catching the leader late to win by a neck.

Trained by Steve Asmussen, she races for Michael D. Allen. Bred in Kentucky by Tommy Town Thoroughbreds, LLC, she is out of the Medaglia d’Oro mare, Take Another Look.

The 4-year-old filly Simply Gracious, was the second winner today for Stanford, as she won for the third time, taking a starter allowance at Emerald Downs wire-to-wire going six furlongs by two lengths.

Simply Gracious was bred in Washington by Bar C Racing Stables, Inc. and she was produced by the Discreet Cat mare, Joyce and Me. She races for Mischief Racing and she is trained by Blaine Wright.
