Tamarando Filly Takes Down Santa Anita MSW

Arcadia, CA (June 12, 2025) – The 8th race at Santa Anita was a competitive maiden special weight opened to state-bred fillies and mares, three, four, and five, going six furlongs over the fast main track. Tamarando sophomore filly Darlin Tami was favored and she did not disappoint, fighting every step to come home best by a head.

Pressing the pacesetter with another keeping them both running on the inside, she drew even coming off the turn. She fought to take the lead a furlong from home and would not give in to the wire.

Darlin Tami races as a homebred for Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Williams and she is trained by Jeff Bonde. She was produced by the winning Lucky Pulpit mare, Halo Darlin.
