Tamarando 2-Year-Old Wins Golden Gate Allowance
Albany, CA (September 9, 2022) – Tamarando 2-year-old Passarando made it two wins and a second in four career starts with his victory over allowance foes in the 3rd race at Golden Gate Fields going five and one-half furlongs over the all weather course.
The dark bay gelding was a step behind at the start, but jockey Catalino Martinez didn’t panic. He allowed Passarando to find his stride and he was two lengths away with two furlongs left to run. He was full of run at the top of the stretch, took over in the eighth pole and drew away to win by convincingly by two and one-half lengths.
Passarando is the fourth generation bred or raced by Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams. Produced by the winning Lucky Pulpit mare, I’m Passing Ya Now, he is trained by Steven Specht.
