Smiling Tiger Filly Remains Undefeated with Del Mar Allowance Win

Del Mar, CA (September 2, 2022) – Look for the horses with Harris Farms connection in the early daily double at Del Mar. Yesterday, Warrior’s Moon took the 2nd race. Today, Smiling Tiger filly Tiger Spice remained undefeated with her victory in the opener on the card, a six and one-half furlong allowance over the fast main track.

The field of six was away evenly, but Tiger Spice quickly assumed command. She was never headed the rest of the trip, and she cruised in best by length and three-quarters.

Tiger Spice is a full sister to the stakes-placed winner, Sen Sen and 2-year-old full brother Golf Drama, runs tomorrow at Del Mar. All were produced by the stakes-placed Gotham City mare, She’s So Vain and the were bred by Martin Back. Tiger Spice was purchased for $70,000 at the 2019 Fasig-Tipton California Fall Yearling Sale. She races for partnership of D K Racing LLC, Roger Featherstone, John Gera, Rick Gold, Allan Lerch, and Scott McDonald and she is trained by Andy Mathis.
