Jeranimo Mare Warrior’s Moon Scores Del Mar Allowance Victory

Del Mar, CA (September 1, 2022) – Warrior’s Moon, the daughter of Jeranimo, turned the calendar page to September and began the ninth month of the year with a visit to the winner’s circle in the 2nd race at Del Mar, an $82,500 allowance going one mile over the main track.

Content to gallop along five lengths off the lead for the first half mile, Warrior’s Moon picked up the pace going into the far turn. She had all beaten but one at the top of the stretch. She caught the leader and kept on going to win by one length.

It was her second victory and fifth top three finish this season for the 5-year-old. She races for Joel B. Hunsburger and her breeder, Wade Jacobsen. Trained by Jerry Hollendorfer, she is out of the Half Ours mare, Casual Observer.
