Scary Fast Ride Returns Better Than Ever
Arcadia, CA (May 30, 2025) – Harris Farms’ homebred Scary Fast Ride returned from an eight month vacation, which she obviously enjoyed, as she ran the highest Equibase Speed Figure of her career taking the feature race at Santa Anita, a six furlong allowance over the fast main track.
Drawing the inside post, Scary Fast Ride was away well, but jockey Tyler Baze wisely let others dispute the pace. Saving ground till the top of the stretch, the pair moved to the outside, but the leader by then had snuck off to a three length advantage. She closed resolutely to catch the leader in the final yards and to win by a half-length.
Our multiple stakes-placed 6-year-old mare has won or placed in ten of her fourteen starts and she has earned $227,034. Trained by Sean McCarthy, she is a daughter of Clubhouse Ride, out of the multiple stakes producing Congaree mare, Scary Fast.
Scary Fast Ride was the second Harris Farms-bred winner on the card. In the 4th race, 3-year-old filly Cooling Off broke her maiden in second start going five and one-half furlongs by a half-length.
Trained by Monty Meier, she is by Conquest Farenheit, out of the winning Gilded Time mare, Third Time Lucky.
