Om Filly Debuts a MSW Winner at Santa Anita

Arcadia, CA (February 10, 2024) – Can’t Sleep, the 3-year-old daughter of Om, made a few debut errors, but she overcame them, proving much the best in the 4th race at Santa Anita Park going six and one-half furlongs over the turf course that was rated good.

Our dark bay homebred turned a little left at the break, bumping her rival to the inside. This set her back a few strides, but she had the services of the legendary Frankie Dettori in the saddle, to guide her along. She settled into stride the the pair steadily gained position down the backstretch. When he gave her the signal, her response was immediate and electric. She took the scenic route, coming into the stretch in the six path, but she kept coming. She took the lead with a furlong to run, wrong lead and all, and galloped under the wire two lengths best.
