Majestic Harbor’s Second Winner Cruises Home 10-Lengths Best
Shelbyville, IN (September 14, 2020) – Diamond Solitaire became the second winner for California’s Leading Freshman Sire Majestic Harbor with an emphatic ten length victory in maiden special weight company at Indiana Grand Race Course.
Ten fillies lined up in the 9th race, with Diamond Solitaire favored off her debut third over the course on August 24. She was away slowly in her first start, but there was none of that today. She was away in good order from post eight and tracked the leaders two length away while out in the five path down the backstretch. She closed the gap while widest of all around the turn and the lead was hers at the top of the stretch. Rarely do you see the term “cruised” in the chart call, but that describes her stretch run perfectly. She rolled home with little urging to the six furlong contest by ten lengths.
