Harris Farms’ 2020 California-bred Champions

Coalinga, CA (February 26, 2021) – Harris Farms was well represented when the California Thoroughbred Breeder’s Association announced their 2020 California-bred Champions.

Fashionably Fast, who was bred, foaled, raised by Harris Farms, and who races for the farm in partnership with Per Antonsen and John Nicoletti, was named Co-Champion Sprinter. He won the California Cup Sprint Stakes, the Tiznow Stakes, and was second in the Grade 2 Triple Bend S. Trained by Dean Pederson, the son of Lucky Pulpit has earned $508,245.

El Tigre Terrible, the son of Smiling Tiger, was crowned Champion Three-year-old. A state-bred champion as a juvenile last season, won the Real Good Deal Stakes and was second in the Desert Code Stakes. Campaigned by Slam Dunk Racing and Michael Nentwig and trained by Peter Miller, he has earned $220,700.

Co-Champion Two-year-old colt Big Fish was part of the 2019 California Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association Northern California Yearling Sale consignment of Harris Farms. Winner of the Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes, he races for Legacy Ranch and is trained by David Hofmans.
