Harris-Bred Timely Luck Makes Easy Work of Grassy Santa Anita MSW

Arcadia, CA (May 14, 2023) – Timely Luck, our homebred filly by Prospect Park was favored to win the maiden special weight at Santa Anita that closed the day’s card. The 3-year-old filly did not disappoint, proving much the best over a field of nine other going one mile over the firm turf course.

Away well from post one, Timely Luck saved ground along the inside while others took up the pace battle. She improved her position down the backstretch and moved into contention around the turn. Switching to the outside, she caught the leader inside the final furlong and moved off willingly to win by nearly two lengths from the fast closing Warrior Lady (Jeranimo),

Timely Luck is trained by Sean McCarthy. She is out of the winning Gilded Time mare, Third Time Lucky.
