Harris-bred, Raised and Sold I’m Ripped Takes MSW at Del Mar

Del Mar, CA (September 2, 2024) – I’m Ripped, bred, raised, and sold by Harris Farms, earned his maiden special weight diploma second time out in the 9th race at Del Mar going six and one-half furlongs over the fast main track with a purse of $76,000.

I’m Ripped used his speed to quickly assume command from post two. He cleared the field down the backstretch and took the field through the final turn. A serious challenger emerged and the battle was on with an eight of a mile to go. I’m Ripped dug in and repelled the challenge, drawing away late to win by a half length. Majestic Palisades, a Harris homebred and half-brother to G1 winner, Ceiling Crusher, finished third in his racing debut.

I’m Ripped is by Conquest Farenheit and he is out of the Flower Alley mare, Fast Breaking News. He was purchased for $10,000 at the 2022 CTBA Northern California Yearling Sale. He races for the partnership of Mark Davis and Ty Leatherman and he is trained by Doug O’Neill.

Harris Farms next consignment of sale yearlings happens on September 24 at the Fasig-Tipton California Fall Yearlings Sale at Fairplex in Pomona.
