Donut Girl Wins Del Mar Allowance

Del Mar, CA (November 6, 2020) – Donut Girl overcame a stumble at the start to win the 2nd race at Del Mar, a $60,000 allowance going one mile over the firm turf course.

Settling after her poor beginning, the 5-year-old Smiling Tiger mare, settled in sixth. She saved ground and moved outside for the stretch run. Her closing kick carried her to the lead and onto a length victory.

Donut Girl takes her career earnings to $220,662 for owner, Cunningham Stables. Bred in California by Premier Thoroughbreds LLC, Alan Klein, and Rusty Brown. Trained by Brian Cunningham, she was produced by the Any Given Saturday mare, Saturday’s Girl.
