Catholic Boy Records Seventh 2YO Winner of 2024

Farmington, NY (November 18, 2024) – Catholic Boy’s seventh 2-year-old winner of the season is Just a Guy, who earned his maiden special weight diploma by a decisive six and one-half lengths in maiden special weight company.

A field of eight lined-up to chase the winner’s share of the $32,600 purse over the fast Finger Lakes surface. Just a Guy, forced to check at the start, quickly found his stride and part of the pace duel in short order. He put away that challenger (and the rest) halfway home. Jockey Jeremias Flores kept the youngster busy through the stretch and the two finished up much the best in a promising effort.

Just a Guy was produced by the Speightstown mare, Pieces of Speight and was bred in New York by 3C Stables, LLC. He races for the partnership of his trainer Paul Barrow and Henry Steadman.
