California Chrome Tied for Top Spot in World

By Blood-Horse Staff
California Chrome, who easily won the world’s richest race this year when registering a 3 ¾-length victory despite his saddle slipping in the Dubai World Cup sponsored by Emirates Airline (UAE-I) March 26 at Meydan, shares the top spot in the April edition of the Longines World’s Best Racehorse Rankings.

California Chrome, the 2014 Horse of the Year who has won all three of this starts this year, has received a 126 rating, which also was awarded to Winx, who stayed undefeated in seven Southern Hemisphere starts this season with her two-length victory in the Star Doncaster Mile (Aus-I) April 2 at Royal Randwick.
