Acclamation Filly Scores Third 2020 Victory

Albany, CA (August 7, 2020) – Nardini, the daughter of Acclamation, earned her third win in 2020 with what the chart caller noted was a “stubborn victory” in the 4th race at Golden Gate, a six furlong allowance over the all weather.

The 4-year-old filly carried top weight of 126 pounds in the field of six. Sitting just off the pacesetters, she moved out to the three path to launch her challenge. She took the lead at the top of the stretch and dug in when another closer came calling. Jockey Kyle Frey to go on and she would not let the other go by. She kept her lead and hit the wire three-quarters of a length in front.

Bred by Steven Ferraro in California, she is out of the 2011 California-bred Champion 2-year-old filly Ismene, a daughter of Tribal Rule. Nardini races for Legacy Ranch, Inc., and she is trained by Andy Mathis. She has now won or placed in five of her six career starts.
