Smiling Angelo Earns Golden Gate Allowance Win

Albany, CA (August 7, 2020) – Following Nardini’s win in the 4th race, the second allowance winner on the Golden Gate card by a Harris Farms sire was Smiling Angelo, who determinedly earned his victory in the 7th race, going six furlongs over all weather.

Dashing to the lead from post three, the 5-year-old Smiling Tiger gelding established a clear lead and never relinquished his advantage. Confronted in the final furlong, he would not let the other horse by, winning by a head in a very game effort.

Smiling Angelo is a second generation homebred racing for Ferro Family Trust and Victor Flores. Trained by Steve Miyadi, he is out of the wining Proud Citizen mare, Citizen Bernstein. He has won or placed in five of his nine career starts and has earned $110,468.
