Bold Mistress, who was second in her career debut, went one better in the 6th race at Golden Gate fields, a five furlong maiden special weight over the all weather.
The 2-year-old Vronsky filly jumped straight to the lead from the inside post. She was pressured through an opening quarter in 21:78 and was clear with a half in 45.56. Challenges came in the final furlong, but she dug in to score by a half-length. Final time was 58.40.
Bold Mistress is homebred racing for Curt and Lila Lanning and she is trained by Ed Moger, Jr. She was produced by the winning Bertrando mare, Common Truth.
