Three Wins in Last Four Starts for Tamarando Son

Albany, CA (March 18, 2022) – Royal ‘n Rando made it three wins in his last four starts with his victory in the 6th race at Golden Gate Fields, a one mile allowance over the all weather surface.

Breaking from the outside in the field of seven, the 3-year-old son of Tamarando had to run farther than any of his opponents. Forced out into the five path around the first turn, he was never able to tuck in to save any ground. Widest of all down the backstretch, he had no choice but to circle the field around the far turn. Closing strongly, he caught the pacesetter with a furlong to run, and found more to open up to win by a length and one-quarter in a very strong effort.

Royal ‘n Rando has won or placed in six of his nine career starts. He races as a homebred for Larry and Marianne Williams, who also bred is dam, the winning Grand Slam mare, Royal Grand Slam.
