Rousing Sermon Filly Blows By Her Rivals at Golden Gate

Albany, CA (September 26, 2022) – Always Seeking and jockey William Antongeorgi III had to exercise more than a little patience to win the 4th race at Golden Gate Fields, a $40,300 allowance going five and one-half furlongs over the all weather.

The 3-year-old daughter of Rousing Sermon was away cleanly and settled on the inside three lengths off the pace down the backstretch. Drawing closer around the turn, a wall of four runners lined-up for the lead at the top of the stretch and Always Seeking was stuck behind it. The moveable targets were past the eighth pole before a passage opened up. When asked, she responded with a strong turn of of foot to fly past them and open up by a length and one-quarter at the wire.

Consistent to a fault in her young career, the third generation homebred has won or placed in five of her six starts for the racing and breeding operation of Larry and Marianne Williams. She was produced by the winning Unusual Heat mare, Heat Striker.
