Om Colt Soars to 8+ Length MSW Victory at Santa Anita

Arcadia, CA (October 25, 2024) – Its a Cinch, the 2-year-old son of Om bred by Harris Farms and Don Valpredo, blew the doors off the field by more than eight lengths in the 5th race at Santa Anita.

A field of eight gathered for the six furlong contest over the firm turf course, but Its a Cinch didn’t give them much of a chance. The chestnut colt was quickly away from post three and never looked back. His lead grew from one length down the backstretch to three around the turn. Asked to finish by jockey Edwin Maldonado, he did not disappoint, throwing down a sub-twelve fifth furlong and then finishing under wraps in an eye-catching effort.

Its a Cinch races for C T R Stables, LLC, Pappas Horse Racing Corp and Allsion Fournogerakis and he is trained by Luis Mendez. He was purchased for $20,000 at the 2023 Fasig-Tipton Produced by the Unusual Heat mare, Tahitian Lagoon, his family represents generations of the Harris/Valpredo partnership that includes his third dam, the wonderful Soviet Problem.
