Man O Rose Triumphs Again; Stanford 2-year-old Scores Winning Debut

Arcadia, CA (May 12, 2024) – Man O Rose continued his stellar 2024 campaign, bring home the winner’s check for the third consecutive outing. Today’s victory came against open allowance company in the 8th race at Santa Anita going six furlongs over the fast main track.

The second winner on the day for Stanford, Man O Rose tracked the pacesetter to the top of the stretch. He put him away and drew off to win by two lengths.

Man O Rose now has five wins and two second in seven starts and he raised his career earnings to $229,760. Produced by the G2-placed Good Journey mare, Kathleen Rose, he races as a homebred for B and B Zietz Stables, Inc., and he is trained by Mike Puype.

Earlier on the card, Stanford 2-year-old gelding Timty debuted a winner in maiden special weight company over four and one-half furlongs.

Breaking outwardly, he found his stride after the opening furlong and took out after the leader. He caught him around the turn and took a clear lead into the stretch. A closer came calling, but Timty had enough to get to the wire a nose best.

Timty was bred by Wayne Atwell and he is out of the Tribal Rule mare, Tribal Feathers. Trained by Luis Mendez, he races for Tim Kasparoff and Ty Leatherman.
