In the $125,000 Fran’s Valentine Stakes going a mile on the turf is Heat Du Jour. Heat Du Jour is by Unusual Heat, out of the Half a Year mare Style of the Year, was bred by Madeline Auerbach, is owned by Jerry Hollendorfer, Mark Schlaich and George Todaro and is trained by Hollendorfer. She has five wins in 26 starts, earnings of $263,910 and is coming off a fourth in an Apr. 30 optional claimer.
Pulmarack runs in the $200,000 Snow Chief Stakes at one mile and one eighth. Pulmarack is by Lucky Pulpit, out of the Dehere mare Tamarack Bay, was bred by owners Mr. and Mrs. Larry Williams and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. He has one win in eight starts, earnings of $144,330 and is coming off a second in the Apr. 26 Silky Sullivan.
Tribal Express tries the $200,000 Melair Stakes over a mile and one sixteenth.
