Introducing Harris Farms Second Career Program Thoroughbred Ambassadorship

Ambassadors of the Harris Farms Second Career Program are a special group of off-track Thoroughbred supporters, who want to share their passion for Thoroughbreds with the equestrian world. Ambassadors are those equestrians who have adopted or purchased a horse from Harris Farms and wish to assist in promoting Thoroughbreds in their Second Careers. The goal is to educate the equestrian community on the athleticism, heart, and versatility of retired racehorses.

Ambassadors help promote participation in the T.I.P Program, with the mission to educate and encourage the retraining of the Thoroughbred into other disciplines. They positively represent the Thoroughbred breed at his or her local barn, shows, competitions, or any other activities in which he or she may participate. We would like to showcase the creativity and passion that the Harris Farms Second Career Program Ambassadors have for the Thoroughbred by featuring videos with their OTTB’s on our website and social media.

By promoting the Second Career of these versatile athletes, the ambassadors are increasing visibility in the equine community and help insure a future for the retired Thoroughbred, and the Thoroughbred Industry.
