Harris Homebreds on a Roll at Del Mar
Del Mar, CA (August 28, 2022) – Quickly Park It, the 2-year-old Harris Farms’ homebred, came from off the pace to earn her maiden special weight credentials in the opener of the Del Mar card going one mile over the firm turf course with a purse of $81,500.
Quickly Park It was fourth in her debut after acting up in the gate. Today, she stood there like an old pro as others acted up. Settling eight lengths off the pace for the first half-mile, she began to pick-up horses and rolling around the final turn. She drew even with the leaders at the top of the stretch, opened up, and would not let the closer by nearing the wire to win by a neck.
Quickly Park it is trained by Sean McCarthy and was ridden to victory by Jessica Pyfer. She is the third generation bred by Harris Farms and was produced by the winning Lucky J. H. mare, Quick Luck. She is by Prospect Park, who began his stallion career at Harris Farms.
