She was bred by Thomas Bachman, is owned by Brown or Lebherz and is trained by Jeff Bonde. The $65,000 Barretts purchase has three wins in six starts, earnings of $183,610 and is coming off a second in the Dec. 9 Soviet Problem.

In the $300,000 California Breeders’ Champion Stakes Colts another Unusual Heat offspring Surfcup competes. He is out of the Runaway Groom mare Omi Princess, was bred by owner Donald Dizney and is trained by Bob Baffert. He has one win in two starts, earnings of $31,000 and is coming off a sixth in the Dec. 16 King Glorious.

In the $100,000 Valentine’s Dancer Stakes likely favorite Tiz Flirtatious who is by Tizbud heads a loaded field of stakes winning fillies and mares.  She is out of the Victory Gallop mare Masquerade Belle, was bred by owner Pamela Ziebarth and trained by Martin Jones. She has four wins in seven starts, earnings of $274,800 and is coming off a second in the Dec. 30 Robert J. Frankel G2.

Also competing is Best Present Ever (by Unusual Heat), out of the Beau Genius mare Centerofattention. She was bred by owners Dennis and Norine Grenier and is trained by J. Eric Kruljac. She has three wins in 10 starts, earnings of $205,800 and is making her first start since an eighth in the Oct. 27 Autumn Miss Stakes.
