A Triple for Tamarando
Albany, CA (September 11, 2023) – Tamarando, the 2022 Leading Third Crop Sire and the #1 Fourth Crop Sire by black-type horses in 2023 in California had three of his runners turn a rare triple by winning races at the same track on the same day at Golden Gate Fields.
Harris Farms homebred, in partnership with Double D Farms’s Make the Team started the day off with his victory in the 2nd race over the all weather. Leading all the way, the 4-year-old gelding won by nearly four lengths. He is trained by Sheldon Paldanius.
If you were playing a rolling double, you landed on Tamarando juvenile gelding Wild Jewels to win the 3rd race, a six furlong allowance over the all weather. The Mr. and Mrs. Larry D. Williams homebred. also took his field gate-to-wire to win by four and one-quarter lengths.
Trained by Steven Specht, he is out of the winning Distorted Humor mare, Trusty Temper.
Finishing up the successful day was Tam’s Time, also bred by Mr. and Mrs. Williams, who chased down a runaway pacesetter in the 7th race going one mile over the all weather. The 4-year-old gelding races for his owner/trainer Daniel Franko. He is out of the stakes winning General Meeting mare, Gn. Group Meeting.
