Two-in-a-Row for Lakerville son Big Coupe

Arcadia, CA (October 23, 2021) – Big Coupe, the 3-year-old son of Lakerville, made his second straight visit to the winner’s circle with his allowance victory in the 7th race at Santa Anita going one mile over the firm turf course.

Big Coupe showed plenty of early speed and he attached himself as he push the leader along from his stalking position. He took over the lead around the final turn and proved much the best through the stretch to win going away by three and one-half lengths.

Consistency has been his trademark. Big Coupe has finished no worse than third in all seven of he career outings for owner/breeder Alfred Pais and trainer Leonard Powell. A half-brother to the graded stakes-placed Margot’s Boy, they were both produced by the winning Creachadoir (Ire) mare, Margot Marchance.
