Tam’s Little Angel Wins Turf Debut
Albany, CA (April 3, 2022) – Tam’s Little Angel, who was a winner and stakes-placed at two on the all weather, won her debut on the turf, taking the 6th race at Golden Gate Fields, a $40,084 allowance going one mile.
The 3-year-old Tamarando filly was first out of the gate and settled into the pacesetter’s role. Having another at her saddlecloth the entire trip, she never yielded. She turned back every challenge, digging in through the stretch to win by three-quarters of a length.
Tam’s Little Angel has never finished out of the top three in her seven race career and she has earned $77,792. She is a second generation homebred for Larry D. and Marianne Williams, who also bred the runnerup, Lady’s Sermon (Rousing Sermon). Both the fillies are trained by Steven Specht. Tam’s Little Angel was produced by the Lucky Pulpit mare, Angel Diane.
