Sensible Move Rallies for Del Mar MSW Victory
Del Mar, CA (August 26, 2022) – Homebred 4-year-old filly Sensible Move overcame a less than stellar trip and responded when in counted most to earn her maiden special weight diploma in the 6th race at Del Mar going one mile over the firm turf course.
A field of eleven lined-up with Sensible Move drawing the two hole. A bit fidgety waiting for the others to load, she was not the quickest into stride and she found herself near the back of the pack. Patiently handled by jockey Armando Ayuso, she remained bottled up until the top of the stretch. Moving out into the five path, she found clear running and closed strongly to prove best by three-quarters of a length in a very professional effort.
Sensible Move is trained by Dean Pederson. By Summer Front, she was produced by the winning Street Sense mare, My Senses.
The Harris Farms silks were also carried to victory on opening day at Golden Gate Fields when homebred Acclamation filly Team Concept broke her maiden in the 6th race over a grassy mile. She was one of three Harris Farms’ sired winners at the bayside oval which included debut winner Yoderando (Tamarando) and Roaring Tiger (Smiling Tiger).
