Shelbyville, IN (October 19, 2020) – Manuelito, who missed breaking his maiden in his debut by a half-length, went one better today and became the fourth winner for California’s Leading Freshman Sire Majestic Harbor.
First time out, Manuelito ran over the main track surface rated fast at Indiana Grande. Today, that same surface was rated sloppy (sealed) as ten juveniles lined up for the 7th race, a maiden special weight going five and one-half furlongs. Breaking from the outside post, he tracked the leaders from fourth down the backstretch. The quartet were all in the hunt coming off the turn and Manuelito was floated widest of all. He closed willingly, took over inside the final furlong and kept going to win by one length.
