Albany, CA (November 28, 2021) – Lakerville 2-year-old filly Worthy of Magic made her second start a winning one in the 9th race at Golden Gate Fields, a maiden special weight going six furlongs over the all weather.
Fourth in her debut after pressing the pace on November 6, she used the same early tactic and was rewarded with the victory. Sharp from the start, she engaged in a battle for the lead until the final furlong. She put her rival away and held off a closer to win by a clear length.
Worthy of Magic was bred in California by Watchorn, Morrow and Fast Lane Farms. She races for Nina Morrow, Andrea Warner, and Ron Watchorn. She is out of the winning Reddatore (BRZ) mare, Red Intrigue.
