Heatseeker’s Hot Tempo Captures Matron S.

LAFAYETTE, LA (April 25, 2014)-Hot Tempo a four-year-old daughter of Heatseeker took the $60,000 Evangeline Downs Matron Stakes by a neck getting up in the shadow of the wire. This was her stakes debut and she earned the victory as the favorite in the field of eight.

The winning time was a quick 1:34.73 over a firm course.

Bred in the Bluegrass by Fred W. Hertrich III she has now won $181,295 from her record of thirteen starts, five wins three seconds and a third.

Heatseeker, a Grade One winner, is the leading third crop sire in California with more than double the earnings of his nearest competitor and is the eleventh ranked sire on the California General sire listing. In 2014 Heatseeker is standing for $5,000 payable at foaling.
