Harris Farms Connected Runners in Breeders’ Cup
ARCADIA, Calif. (Oct. 29, 2019) – A pair of Harris Farms sired California-breds are entered for the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, to be run at Santa Anita Nov. 1 and 2.
Acclimate is entered in the $4 million Grade I Longines Breeders’ Cup turf at 1 ½ miles. Acclimate is by Acclamation, out of the Boundary mare Knows No Bounds, was bred by Old English Rancho, Sal Berumen and Patsy Berumen, is owned by the Ellwood Johnston Trust and Timmy Time Racing and is trained by Phil D’Amato. He has six wins in 17 starts, earnings of $365,872 and is coming off a second in the Sept. 28 John Henry Turf Championship. He has the No. 2 post position and is 20-1 on the morning line.
Multiple Grade I winner Spiced Perfection is entered in the $1 million Grade I Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Sprint at seven furlongs. Spiced Perfection is by Smiling Tiger, out of the Pleasantly Perfect mare Perfect Feat, was bred by Premier Thoroughbreds, is owned by Pantofel Stable, Wachtel Stable and Peter Deutsch and is trained by Peter Miller. She has eight wins in 18 starts, earnings of $1,026,905 and is coming off a win in the Oct. 5 Thoroughbred Club of America Stakes at Keeneland. She has the No. 9 outside post position and is 4-1 on the morning line.
