Grade One Winner Thorn Song Sires First Winner

COALINGA, CA (March 28, 2015)-The late Thorn Song, a multiple grade one winner, sired his first winner sophomore filly Dream Serenade.

Dream Serenade, from the Stormy Atlantic broodmare Kalookan Dream, was bred by her owner Jon P. Denson and graduated in her fifth lifetime start.

Bred in Kentucky by Pinnacle Racing LLC and Taylor Made Farm Inc., Thorn Song won eight of 29 starts including the Shadwell Turf Mile S.-G1 and the Shoemaker Mile S.-G1, and earned $1,132,700. Racing for Zayat Stables from 2005-2009, the big gray was trained by Dale Romans and Mike Mitchell. He sired four crops (including foals of 2015) before his demise in mid-2014.
