INGLEWOOD, CA (June 9, 2013)–It only seems that Joe Talamo has won all the stakes at the spring-summer meeting at Betfair Hollywood Park.
On Sunday, Talamo won his seventh stakes since May 18 with the improving Unusual Hottie (Unusual Heat) in the $90,370 Redondo Beach Stakes for turf females. Talamo rode Unusual Hottie to victory in the Fran’s Valentine Stakes on May 18, the day he began a streak of five consecutive stakes wins that lasted until May 26.

ALBANY, CA (June 9, 2013)-Odds-on favorite Surfcup ($3.80) improved his record on turf to 3 for 3 with a facile win in the $100,000 Silky Sullivan on Sunday at Golden Gate Fields.

ALBANY, CA (June 1, 2013)-Although she was making her turf debut, Unusual Way ($3.60) was heavily favored in Saturday’s $100,000 Campanile Stakes at Golden Gate Fields. She then ran just the way an odds-on favorite is expected to as she scored a 2 1/4-length victory in the one-mile turf race.
May 31, 2013-Steel Causeway a three-year-old colt by Heatseeker debuted with a win in a maiden special weight event at Charles Town Races.

Three days ago, we saw a legendary trainer record his 14th Triple Crown success after a 13-year hiatus with a colt partnered by a comeback jockey whose last Triple Crown successes came in 2001. In such extraordinary circumstances, there’s every chance that the personalities will steal the show from the actual horse. Timonium, MD (May 20, 2013)-Hip 57 was knocked down and sold at $180,000 during the Fasig Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds In Training Sale opening session. The bay filly is by Heatseeker out of Six Ribbons (Cape Town) and was sold to Larry Zap agent for Joe Ciaglia, she was bred in Kentucky. Watch her preview breeze here.
